Riding Habit
1795-1810
 

This project involved working from images and information taken at a museum visit alongside instructions from the Janet Arnold patterns of Fashion book. This 1795-1810 Riding Habit is hand sewn in a blue worsted woolen cloth, with a blue/grey shot taffeta bodice lined in cotton and a white silk lined jacket.

I also handmade Dorset Buttons which were used on the bodice, alongside making nylon buttons to cover on a lathe.
